The demand for online classes is on the rise despite speculation by some experts who view the format as inferior to a traditional classroom education (Faculty Professional Development and Student Satisfaction in Online Higher Education). Although the subject is met with a diversity of opinions, most major institutions of higher learning continue to invest heavily in technology-based education and the availability of classes continues to grow.
